Doing the first Indy car challenge, keep getting wrecked in the turns by these clowns that try to go inside outside inside. Finally said screw it and finished the race with damaged suspension and aero.

I've found that turning the difficulty up a bit makes them less dumb and therefore actually easier to pass. I get hit a lot less with it on any difficulty above the average setting. I agree though the drivatars are ridiculous. I've had them randomly brake check me on straights and all sorts.

There’s a ‘limit aggression’ for drivatars somewhere in the difficulty menu, forget exactly where though. Enabling it makes driving in traffic so much easier.

I have difficulty all the way up and all assists off. Its the only way I can play this game. Drives me mad.

Its not aggression though, its stupidity I need to limit. Like I need a “Limit racers to people whom actually attempt to follow the desired line and don’t drive like ignorant Americans attempting to hog the inside of the turn through the entire turn at full throttle” button.

I love them but then again I’ve clocked Forza 5 so my Drivitar sync is around 90% which means they race without the npob cowardice nonsense I suspect everyone else is dealing with.

I have difficulty above average at the moment and all assists off for now then I'll ramp up difficulty as I go.

I think that there should be a “clean rating” that you could specify for your races, that way you only race with clean racers. Either that or a lap time or something.

That’s what the ‘limit aggression’ does, it makes them follow the racing line and not divebomb or run you off the road. It’s under ‘drivatar difficulty’ on the pre-race menu.

Thats stupid. You can be an aggressive driver and not drive like an idiot. No true driver ever would intentionally destroy their line and momentum to “aggressively” overtake as it never ever works. You end up on the outside of the turn, going too slow, and the guy you cut off or crashed into is in front of you. Or you’re both crashed out.

Well the drivatars are based off of data collected from real players’ driving styles and tendencies which makes their behavior more understandable if you’ve ever seen how random dickheads ‘drive’ in an online public lobby (they’re known as drivatards for a reason). But yeah I agree it’s complete bs regardless, I don’t know why there’s not an option for traditional AI like Forza has had in the past, though if you disconnect your Xbox from the Internet the drivatars are replaced with regular computer drivers. Haven’t tried it myself but I’m pretty sure it works.
